Siblings in Christ,

Our last Lenten Midweek of the season.

Which means…this Sunday is Palm Sunday, next week is Holy Week, and the following Sunday is Easter!

If you intend to come to church on Sunday, March 28, please make your reservation with the office. You can call or email Therese in the office, 309-788-9661. As we begin reopening our sanctuary, we are taking reservations for worship so we can assure appropriate spacing. The pews have been cleaned and are refinished, and have been taped off so only well spaced pews are available.

Sunday worship at 10:30 a.m.. If you have reserved your spot, you may arrive up to 15 minutes ahead of time to allow time to get to your seat.

Maundy Thursday service will be at 7pm, in person, no reservation required.

Good Friday service will be at 7pm, in person, no reservation required.

Resurrection of our Lord will be at 1030am, reservations will again be required.

For all the services, we will follow the necessary safety precautions.

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Chris Lee

Some things to keep in mind for in-person service:

Masks are required and are expected to be properly worn, covering both nose and mouth. If you happen to forget yours, we have some disposable masks available. Sanitizer will be available for your use at the entrance. An usher will take you to your assigned pew.

Singing along to the hymns is still considered one of the riskiest behaviors, even with wearing masks. In lieu of singing, the congregation is invited to hum along or use this opportunity to pay closer attention to the words we would normally sing.

Communion will be served at the end of service, with individual cups that you can pick up on your way out. Once you exit the building, you are welcome to consume the elements. Trash cans will be available for you to dispose of the container.

Lenten Mid-week

A Lenten Mid-week service will be available by our usual means Wednesday morning. It will include a time for prayer, a brief reflection on the text for the day and an opportunity to sing together the Great Litany at the time of community prayer.
