The noisy coin collection and loose offering, the first Sunday of the month, July 2, will be designated for First Lutheran’s Christian Service Fund. This fund assists members and non-members with rent, utilities, food, etc.
Friday June 23rd, 7 – 10pm At the Parish House. Refreshments served. Donations benefit St. Joe’s Evening Meal, served weeknights at the Rock Island Township Hall. All are welcome!

There will be a congregational meeting directly following worship, on Sunday, July 9. The only item on the agenda will be the contract for installation of the Parish House patio railing.
The church office will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.
You are invited to come to the lower level of the Parish House at 7pm, Thursdays, June 29 and July 6, to work on folk arts projects or join the conversation and fellowship as others work. Folk Arts meets on the last and first Thursday of each month.
Remember to pick up your copy of the newsletter if you don’t have it sent to you. Copies are available in the Church narthex and the Parish House.
On Sunday, June 25, the 4th Sunday of the month, envelopes for donations designated to assist with the ELCA’s World Hunger programs will be in the bulletins. Envelopes are also available in the pews and narthex. Donations help alleviate hunger in the United States and around the world.
