Beginning January 5, 2017, Friendship Manor has regularly scheduled a communion service in the chapel there, for the first Thursday of each month at 4:00pm. Pr. John Leaf, First Lutheran’s visitation pastor, will preside.
On Sunday, December 4, at 2pm, several voice and piano students from Blackhawk College will present a Schumann recital in the sanctuary of First Lutheran. There is no admission. Come and support these young musicians!
Nova Singers will present their Christmas concerts on Friday, Dec. 16 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Davenport and on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 7:30 p.m. at First Lutheran, Galesburg. Wednesday, November 23rd, at 7pm, First Lutheran will host a community Thanksgiving service. Area congregations have been invited to participate. Please plan to come share your thanks! We will collect food for the Church of Peace food pantry at the service. We will bring the food to the altar as part of our offering.
