FOOD PANTRY SUNDAY

The 3rd Sunday of each month is usually the Sunday to try to remember to bring non-perishable goods for the Church of Peace food pantry. This month, though, we are supporting Churches United’s “Thanksgiving in July,” so bring those goods ALL MONTH LONG!! Thanks!  

CHRISTIAN SERVICE FUND SUNDAY

The noisy coin collection and loose offering, the first Sunday of the month, July 2,  will be designated for First Lutheran’s Christian Service Fund. This fund assists members and non-members with rent, utilities, food, etc.  

WORLD HUNGER SUNDAY

On Sunday, June 25, the 4th Sunday of the month, envelopes for donations designated to assist with the ELCA’s World Hunger programs will be in the bulletins. Envelopes are also available in the pews and narthex. Donations help alleviate hunger in the United States and around the world.  

FOLK ARTS FEST THANKS

Thank you to all of the people who helped with the Folk Arts Fest last Saturday! It was a success because of YOU! We experienced beautiful music, delicious lunch food, refreshing smoothies, and sweet bake sale items, as well as a variety of vendors. We received positive comments from many! KARR-VOGT BENEFIT

Some friends of Mary Ellen & Jim are hosting a benefit from 6 – 8pm, at Leisure Lanes, Davenport, IA, on Saturday, August 12. They are asking for volunteers to help pass out fliers and ask for donations to put into baskets for raffles. More information will be available next week, but please
